    Genius Statement:

    Jon Stewart's direct horatian satire is taargeted towards the republicans who create some excuse for Obama wanting to meet with them other than to equally and openly discuss healthcare reform. Stewart uses parody, hyperbole, and low burlesque to get the republicans to realize they are making a big deal over a false situation.

    This high narrative paced animation called FLCL is a indirect, horatian satire that uses techiniques such as confusing diction, low berlesque, heavy connotation, distinct foil characters, a lot of situational irony with some funny cariactures to let the audience know how much puberty can be a real problem for teenagers because of the pace that it goes at.

The author is using a direct approach since his attack on the topic is straightforward. The types of techniques that are used are low burlesque and verbal irony as well as a few litotes. The aim of the article is to bring awareness to the issue of the rise in teen pregnancies after nearly two decades of a decreasing rate.
