So is everyone that is narrating the book Addie's child (besides Pa)?I'm getting confused about who is related to who.

ReplyDeleteAnse - married to Addie a.k.a. "Pa"
Cash, Darl, Jewel, Dewey Dell, and Vardaman - Addie's children
Vernon Tull - neighbor
Cora Tull - Vernon's wife
All the other characters are not related to Addie, they are just met along the way. (Vernon and Cora don't count as relatives obviously)
I have two questions:

-Why is it absolutely necessary that the family bury Addie in Jefferson? Was it her dying wish? (I think I missed that part)
She told Anse after she had Cash she wanted to be buried in Jefferson, because she realized her father was right when he said everyone lives to prepare to be dead for a long time.
